Safety first!  In the interest of safety, all DIY repairs to machines must be carried out by a competent person with the appliance disconnected from the mains supply.  On completion of the repair, all machines MUST be fully safety tested (Earth continuity and earth leakage) with a calibrated electrical test meter).

Seniko Services Ltd reserves the right to refuse to supply DIY spare parts where it is felt that the customer's safety may be put in jeopardy.

The following repairs can often be carried out safely by a competent person:  

Door Seals:

Most washing machine door seals can be fitted with little specialist knowledge or special tools.  Most door seals for major brand washing machines are priced at approx £18.00.
Motor Brushes: 

When a front loading washing machine fails to spin at the end of the cycle, a likely cause is worn motor brushes.  These can often be fitted with little specialist knowledge or special tools.  Be aware that failure to spin can often be attributed to several other causes such as; out of balance loads, blocked pressure system (water level sensing), blocked or faulty drain pump, faulty wiring, or a damaged or faulty electronic module. Prices vary from £8.00 to £30.00 depending on the make and model.
Drain pumps: 

All washing machines have a drain pump that discharges the water at the end the wash and rinse cycles.  A faulty drain pump can usually be replaced with little specialist knowledge or special tools. Drain pump prices vary but most are approx £21.00

Fill valves: 

 The water enters your machine by way of Solenoid Valves.  These are electrically operated valves that utilise water pressure to operate.  Prices approx £12.00 to £22.00
Tumble Dryer Thermostats:

If your tumble dryer fails to heat, a likely cause is that the thermostats have failed.  Be aware that thermostats rarely fail without a reason!  Check for blocked or leaking air ducts, motor failure, loose fan etc.  Prices approx £12.00 to £18.00
